Kathrynne Ann Whitworth is an American golfer who was also a professional player. She was born in Texas, United States on the 27th of September, 1939. Kathy became one of the few title holders who could win this straight five times. In 1981, Whitworth became one of the very first players in LPGA to earn $1 million. She continued winning tournaments making a record of winning 88 tournaments with winning over the last one which was the “United Virginia Bank Classic” in the year 1985. So, she had the highest number of wins in LPGA’s history beating Wright’s record of 82 wins. She even broke Sam Snead’s best of 84 records in the men’s PGA tour.
